Based at Culcheth High School, Core provides specialised after-school tuition in English and Maths. Our small learning groups cater for students at Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 (ages 7 - 16) and are taught by our enthusiastic, fully qualified subject specialists.
Our business has been running successfully for over three years now; we take pride in the fact that most of our students join us through recommendations from local primary or secondary schools and other students and parents.
Whether your child needs to enhance their subject knowledge and skills for important exams or simply wants to boost their class grades and subject confidence, Core Tuition can help.
Our hourly lessons run from 6pm-8pm in English and Maths. Learning groups never exceed five students per tutor, so your child will always receive an excellent level of attention. We cater for:
We ensure our KS2 students experience a successful and confident transition to secondary school, preparing them for their Y6 SATS in Maths and/or English and familiarising them with the new topics they will cover in their next key stage. We also offer preparation for 11+ and entrance examinations, improving students' skills in English, Maths and verbal reasoning.
This is a crucial period in which pupils gain all the basic skills needed to sit their GCSE exams. As firm followers of the National Curriculum and its goals, Core recognises the need to help pupils develop as "self-managers, creative thinkers, reflective learners, problem-solvers, team-workers, independent learners, and effective communicators."
Whichever exam board our pupil's schools are using, Core provides expert tuition and preparation, ensuring confident exam technique and maximum achievement.
Our highly qualified, friendly tuition team are dedicated to providing students with the skills needed to access learning at all levels. Hourly sessions are well-planned and differentiated, ensuring each of our students’ learning is catered for on a personal level.
All of our tutors are committed, dedicated and experienced teachers who work in local secondary and primary schools with:
